Andre 3000 was born on May 27, 1975, in Atlanta, Georgia, as Andre Lauren Benjamin, son of Sharon Benjamin-Hodo and Lawrence Harvey Walker. His father was a collection agent, while his mother, who raised him single-handedly, sold real estate.
During their childhood, Andre and his mother lived in different cities: Atlanta, East Point, and Bankhead throughout Georgia. This means that he attended different schools in all these cities.
