This DJ, songwriter, singer, and music producer has captured an audience you can’t count on her rousing performances in clubs, at fashion shows, and music festivals.

She started her music career as a teenager before she switched to DJing. Anna has played at many popular events such as Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrow World, Lollapalooza, and Ultra among others.

It is not clear in which year she was born, but her date of birth is May 26. She was born in Sydney, Australia. The musical influences of the growing up DJs are manifold. She started writing songs to play her acoustic guitar and played piano at a young age. Originally, the Australian-born music lover had her sights set on a career as a singer. But over time, she fell in love with the art of DJing and gradually moved on to creating beats and music in favor of singing.

Her first job after school was with a youth-oriented radio station, FBi Radio in her native Australia. During her time at the station, she made history by becoming the first woman to curate CDs for the station’s popular Ministry of Sound’s Clubber Guide Mix. During her work with the Ministry of Sound, Anna Lunoe produced a total of three compilations. All of them were a huge success, culminating in all three CDs climbing to the top of several Internet dance charts and eventually reaching gold.

At the turn of the year 2012, Anna had decided that she did not want to work for others anymore. Due to this decision, she moved to Los Angeles to start building her own brand and career. In the same year, she released Anna Lunoe & Friends, her first EDM EP. The album included hit names like Flume and Touch Sensitive.

The song she did with the latter, “Real Talk”, topped the Beatport Indie Dance Chart for four consecutive months. Her song with Flume “I Met You” has received millions of hits on YouTube since its release. Two years after the release of her debut EP, Anna Lunoe’s song “Bass Drum Dealer” was selected by American DJ Skrillex as one of the tracks to be released on his Nest Imprint. She also released ‘Feels Like’, a collaboration with British DJ and producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

Following this, Lunoe went on a tour with The Weeknd that lasted 2 months and included many US cities. She then released All Out, her fourth EP, which was well received like the previous ones. She debuted in fourth place on the iTunes dance card. Since then the DJ has released numerous other releases. Among the most popular are ‘Stomper’ with producer Chris Lake, ‘Pusher’ with Sleepy Tom, and ‘Me & U’ with Tommy Trash. Her most recent works include ‘Radioactive’, ‘Godzilla’, ‘Bullseye’, ‘Blaze of Glory’, and ‘303’.

In 2016, with their growing brand, fan base, and continued performances as DJs on premium stages, it only made sense for the DJs to create their own touring and music brand, HYPERHOUSE. She started with her own radio show “Anna Luneo Presents”: HyperHouse”. The radio show is a weekly show that is broadcast on Beats 1 Radio. The show is broadcasted every Friday in over 100 countries.

Anna Lunoe’s Family

Not much is known about the identity of Anna’s family. Her parents were supporters of her ambition from the beginning. Although her mother was confused at first about what a DJ was, she never objected to her dreams as long as she could live off them.

Anna is the last child and second daughter of her parents. She was born at least sixteen years after her immediately older sibling. From a very young age, she was influenced by music by her brothers and her father, who were all musicians and had their own small troupe. They always played in the garage while Anna sat on a corner and watched them while she sang along. She learned music primarily to fit in among her brothers’ friends and also because she had become dependent on the art form.

The DJ is married to Marc Hendrick, with whom she welcomed her first child, a daughter named Willa, in August 2017.
