Kevin Durant was born in Washington D.C. on September 29, 1988, the son of parents Wanda Durant and Wayne Pratt. Wayne Pratt left his family when Kevin was a child, and Wanda Durant was later divorced from her husband. Kevin Durant was therefore raised by his mother and maternal grandmother, Barbara Davis.
