The amazing tennis star was born on May 30, 1989, as Lesia Viktorvina Tusrenko in Volodymyrets, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. She has Ukrainian citizenship and belongs to the white ethnic group. Lesia began playing tennis at the age of six; she was introduced to the game by her parents Viktor Tsurenko and his wife Larysa Tsurenko. Although she did not take the game seriously at the time, she began to pay great attention to the game in her teenage years. After completing her basic training, Tsurenko began her tennis career in earnest.

Career and Rise to Prominence

Tsurenko moved to Kiev, where she started her professional tennis career in 2007. She played her most important WTA first draw in Tashkent in 2009; nevertheless, she lost in the first round. From 2011 to 2013 Lesia also took part in the Ukrainian Federation Cup.
