From dubbing in cartoons, he moved on to anime, and today his work goes beyond dubbing in cartoons, he has made many English adaptations of Japanese anime and is also involved in video games.

Especially the characters he sings/plays differ in style. He has sung both insane, mean, and comic characters, like in Girls Bravo, where he sang Fukuyama, in Tales of Vesperia, and in Darksiders, where he sang the main character War – one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. His other roles as a singer include Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., Star Wars Rebel, and Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Wolverine and the X-Men, Avengers Gather.

Liam O’Brien’s most important anime roles include Kenzo Tenma in Monster, Captain Jushiro Ukitake in Bleach, Lloyd in Code Geass, and Gaara in Naruto. He also sang Red XIII in the video game-based film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and as Gollum in Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor. His other video game appearances include the role of Caius Ballad’s voice in Final Fantasy XIII-2, as Illidan Stormrage in World of Warcraft, as Yasuo in League of Legends, and as Asura in Asura’s Wrath.
He also appeared in For Honor as the Warden, sang Barker in Titanfall 2, and his most recent work can be seen as Infinite in Sonic Forces. In addition to acting, O’Brien, a great dubbing director, has directed several anime shows and video games including Resident Evil 5&6, Naruto, Evolve, and The Last of Us.
The multi-talented voice actor was also part of the team that participated in the web series Critical Role, which brought together various voice actors to play Dungeons & Dragons. He also hosted the podcast All Work No Play and was a finalist for an American Anime Award.
Liam O’Brien Family, Wife
As already mentioned, Liam O’Brien is the son of Lois Wiltse O’Brien; although his father’s name is not known, the talented actor spoke about him in an interview with breakthegame.net. Although he was born in Weehawken, NJ, the dubbing artist said that he spent his summers in upstate New York. According to him, his mother grew up right on the Canadian border, and his father was about an hour and a half away. His mother died of cancer in 2016.
His father went to college to study chemical engineering, but later changed course and went into publishing and would later publish a magazine called Electronic Fun.
O’Brien is married to the Mexican-born dubbing artist Amy Kincaid. They have been married since 2002 and have two children together – a son and a daughter. Amy and Liam met at an acting school where they both studied; he was a grade above her.
