Married, Family, Husband, and Kids

Liza Powel O’Brien has been officially married for more than a decade. Her husband Conan O’Brien is a popular television presenter, writer, producer, and comedian, best known for hosting several late-night shows since 2010.

O’Brien began his career as a writer in HBO’s Not Necessarily the News. He wrote for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons before he began hosting his own show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, which he has hosted for 16 years and in which he enchants his audience with his hilarious anecdotes.

The couple met for 18 months after their first encounter and were married on January 12, 2002, in a wedding ceremony that took place that afternoon at St. James Cathedral in Seattle, Washington. This was followed by a reception at Union Station in the city.

Their relationship was described as love at first sight, and even Liza’s father confirmed this by saying, “You could see the connection forming right before your eyes. In an interview about their first encounter, her husband said that there was a video in front of the camera where he “literally fell in love with his wife”.

Their love story was sparked off when they did an advertising makeover for the “worst advertisers” of an NBC subsidiary in Texas. Liza’s company was hired to produce the show, and it was shown side by side with O’Brien.

To strengthen their union, they have two children together: daughter, Neve O’Brien, born in 2003, and son, Beckett O’Brien, born in 2005.

It is not to say that Liza Powel and her husband did not experience dark days. She has crowned the epitome of support for her husband when he suddenly lost his dream job as host of the “Tonight Show”. The show had been the definition of cultural relevance for decades, O’Brien said in his interview. While he was going through unhappy times, Liza was there to get him out of his depressive mood by letting him run the household, cook dinner, take school runs and get him to volunteer in all kinds of sports at her son’s school.

However, her dark days did not last forever, as things went well for the couple throughout their career and family life. Liza Powel and her husband have a combined net worth of $85 million. Apart from a decent income from her work as a copywriter, her husband’s work and investments over the years have yielded more than enough for the family to withdraw from professional life if they so desire.

On January 21, 2010, it was announced that O’Brien had reached a deal with NBC to release him from the show the following day. They reportedly granted him a substantial sum of $45 million, $12 million of which was earmarked for distribution to his employees who moved with him from New York to Los Angeles after he left late at night.

The prominent millionaire family has several residences in different states, including Los Angeles and Washington. They also have an octagonal country house in Connecticut and a summer house in Norfolk, Massachusetts. As far as we know, there have been no rumors of divorce, and the O’Briens live a happy life to the end of their days.
