Walter Lemon Jr. is a professional American basketball player in the position of point guard for the NBA Boston Celtics and the NBA G League Maine Red Claws. He completed his college basketball career with the Bradley Braves of Bradley University. Walter Lemon Jr’s Biography (Age)
He was born on July 26, 1992, the son of Walter Lemon Sr. and his wife Katrina. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where he attended Julian High School. While attending Julian High School, Lemon participated in several sporting events organized by his school and also played on the basketball team. He has American citizenship and his ethnicity is African-American.
During his high school career, Lemon averaged three steals, six assists, five rebounds, and 19 points per game in high school. He was selected by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association for the 3A All-State Third Team and the All-Chicago Public League Second Team.
After graduating, Lemon enrolled at Bradley University, where he began his college basketball career. When he played for the Bradley Braves basketball team, Lemon averaged three rebounds and 18 points per game in his senior year. Throughout his college career, Lemon was called to the MVC Most-Improved Team twice, in 2012 and 2013. In 2013 and 2014, he was appointed to the MVC All-Defensive Team and the MVC Second Team. In addition, he was the first player in Bradley to receive the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award in 2014.
Walter Lemon Jr. failed to make it to the NBA draft in 2014 and after being drafted; he joined the Golden State Warriors for the NBA Summer League in 2015. In September 2014 he signed up for the EGIS Kormend of the Hungarian League. As a member of the Kormend, Lemon played 12 games for the club before he left the club in December 2014. The following year he signed up for the rest of the season with the Crailsheimer Merlins of the German Basketball League. In 2015 he averaged 1.1 assists, 1.0 rebounds, and 6.4 points per game.
In the NBA Development League Draft 2015 Walter Lemon Jr. was selected by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League. In 2016 he joined the Turkish club Istanbulspor Beylikduzu and towards the end of the season, he signed with Greek club Rethymno Cretan Kings in February 2017. In the regular season, 2017/18 Lemon made it in the opening list of Fort Wayne Mad Ants. After his wonderful performance, he was named G-League Player of the Month for November.
In February 2018 he signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. Two days later he played for the club for the first time and helped the Pelicans win the Miami Heat. After his 10-day contract expired, Lemon returned to Fort Wayne. In July 2018 he signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics of the NBA. During the course of his contract, Lemon will split his playing time between the Celtics and their sister company Maine Red Claws of the NBA G League. He will play less for the Celtics and more with the NBA G League Red Claws.
