Who is Carnie Wilson? Her Husband, Dad, Sisters, Weight, Bio

Carnie Wilson was born into a musical family, and his career has always followed a similar path. It may be difficult to pursue a musical career when the father is Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and the mother Marilyn Rovell of the Honeys, but Carnie did not let the fear of not reaching the heights of her parents to pursue her passion stop her. Together with her sister Wendy Wilson, they tried to find their own way and it was a great trip. The two sisters and their childhood friend Chynna Phillips have sold over 12 million copies of their music. Here is a breakdown of how Carnie Wilson became a music star, a television host, and more.

Who is Carnie Wilson? Bio

Carnie was born on April 29, 1968, in Bel Air, California, the son of musical icons such as Brian Wilson (Of the Beach Boys) and Marilyn Rovell (Of the Honeys). There is not much public information about Carnie’s childhood, nor is there anything about her educational history.

Their career began with the formation of the vocal group Wilson Phillips. The group, which consisted of her younger sister Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips, was successful in the 80s and 90s and sold over 12 million records with only two albums – Wilson Phillips and Shadows and Light. However, the band did not last very long and disbanded in 1993.

After the group split up, sisters Carnie and Wendy continued to record music, and in 1993 they released a Christmas album called Hey!

Carnie recorded an album with her sister and her father in 1997 called The Wilson’s. Although the album was well received by the critics, it failed to attract commercial attention. From the failed 1997 to 2002 album, Carnie Wilson was relatively idle. She did, however, attempt a solo career in 2003 by recording the single I Don’t Need You To, but like her first album it did not meet with much interest, and the proposed album was put on hold.

Carnie later regrouped with the rest of Wilson Phillips, and the band recorded a third album called California. The album, which was a tribute to the heyday of their parents’ music career, contained cover songs of their hits. It was quite well received commercially.

After the release of the album in 2004, Carnie took another chance for a solo performance and released an album of lullabies for her daughter Lola. Her second solo project was released in October 2007; it was a Christmas album called Christmas with Carnie.

In an effort to keep a career in the limelight, as music didn’t seem to get her where she wanted to go, Carnie began a career as a television presenter on her own talk show called Carnie! The show lasted only one year, from 1995-1996.

Over the next 20 years, she appeared on various television shows, from talk shows to reality TV. As a television presenter, she has been a regular guest host on The Talk, and she is considered a leading candidate to replace one of the presenters should one of them leave the show. Her most recent appearance is a guest appearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

In 2013, Wilson announced that she had been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy.

Carnie Wilson Weight Struggles

Carnie has been struggling with weight problems pretty much all her life. She tried various tricks to lose weight permanently but was not very successful. After a gastric bypass surgery in 1999, she was successful for a short time and lost about 150 pounds after the surgery.

To celebrate the massive success in weight loss, she posed naked for Playboy but won it all back soon after. This prompted her to decide to have another operation in 2012, but it was obviously not as successful as the first one, because according to her latest photos she is still struggling with too much weight. She once weighed 300 pounds the heaviest, but there is no indication of what she weighs at the moment.
