Steve Stricker Bio, Age
Steven Charles Stricker was born on February 23, 1967, in Edgerton Wisconsin. He spent his childhood playing golf, especially at the Edgerton Town Country Club and the Lake Ripley Country Club near Cambridge. For his university education, he studied at the University of Illinois and also played golf during this time until he earned an All-American honor as a member of the golf team “Illini” in 1988 and 1989. After meeting all requirements as a student, he successfully completed his studies in 1990.
In the same year in which he graduated from university, 1990, Stricker also started working. It was rather a continuation of what he had experienced during his time as a colleague. His debut as a professional golfer began with an outstanding victory in two tournaments after his participation in the Canadian Professional Tour. Soon after, Steve Stricker joined the PGA Tour in 1994, and two years later he had won two major tournaments – the Kemper Open and the Motorola Western Open. In 2001, Steve Stricker defeated Pierre Fulke in Australia 2 and 1, and also earned a hefty $1 million cash prize and his third most prestigious PGA title. Although he fell out of form in 2004 when he also lost his tour card, he made a comeback in 2007 with a fourth win on the PGA Tour. This victory also earned him a spot on the Presidents Cup team that same year.
In June 2011, Steve Stricker won his tenth Tour title after participating in the Ohio Memorial Tournament. This victory catapulted him to first place as America’s best golfer and fourth-best golfer in the world – according to the official world golf rankings. It was a memorable time in his career when he defeated Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Incredibly, his 11th tour victory was recorded at the John Deere Classic after he finished ahead of his opponent and runner-up Kyle Stanley after sinking a 9-meter birdie putt on hole 72. Steve Stricker made an announcement in 2013 about his plans to cut his schedule in half, hoping to play about 10 or 12 tournaments. Although he was struggling with a herniated disc, he managed to finish the Hyundai tournament of the season as runner-up.
In 2017, Stricker applied to the USGA for an exemption to play in the 2017 U.S. Open, which will be held in his home state, but his application was not granted. Fortunately, he was able to qualify for a qualifying tournament in Memphis. He won the 2018 Cologuard Classics by two strokes and competed for the second year in a row at the Rapiscan Systems Classic in Saucier, Mississippi.
The game of golf happens to fall into those sporting categories with a class that make a lot of money, especially if you are good at it. This is because professional players not only win titles every now and then but also have the opportunity to increase their fortunes many times over if they are able to gain the support of well-known brands. When it comes to Stevy, not only does he make a fortune from his winnings, but he has also received the support of not one, but four different brands, including Foot Joy, Sentient Jet, Titleist, and American Family Insurance. This brings his estimated total net worth to well over $20 million.
Family- Wife, And Kids
As a professional golfer, Stricker can be considered a lucky man, having married into a family that loves golf as much as he does. His wife’s name is Nicki Stricker (née Tiziani), daughter of Dennis Tiziani and sister of Mario Tiziani, who both played on the PGA Tour. As for children, Stricker and his wife are proud parents of two adorable daughters. Their eldest daughter Bobbi Maria Stricker is also in training to become a professional golfer herself. We will definitely follow her progress to see how she becomes as fantastic as her father.
